Chapter 1 Ad Break 2

Woah! New aspect ratio! Phat! (AND double mouse rollover text for those that seek it out.)

I had to figure out how I was going to post double page spreads here eventually, and I guess today is the day! I'll also post the pages individually in the same detail if they have things worth seeing close up.  I gotta reconfigure it to look good on PC, Tablet, and phone so it's more of a headache than it seems, promise.

This piece has a unique atmosphere, lighting, and color palette. TBH I wanted to have a main colored centerfold in the first issue that colored the character in a way you wouldn't expect, in an attempt to get you thinking outside the box.

"Think you can keep up?" was written as a call to action to get onlookers invested in checking back in with each update. But I'll be real, life has been kicking my teeth in lately. Currently I'm reading "think you can keep up?" as a direct challenge to me. Can I keep up with life and a comic with a pace of 2 pages per week? Can I get enough done before #1 is done uploading here so #2 can immediately follow without a hiatus?

I'm turning 30 next year. Every year, all of my joints hurt slightly more than they did last year (especially in my hands) I could see myself making 5, 10, 20, 30 or more issues of Sky Limit, but at a certain point I start doing scary math. Thinking about the rate it took me to make issue 1 and 2, and how many issues I'll have left in me in my lifetime realistically. And that's assuming I'm in a financial position to dedicate so much time to this.

Making an ongoing, regularly scheduled programming of any kind takes it out of you. It costs a part of your soul. Putting everything out there on display. The time, energy, and mental fortitude required is a higher toll than most are willing to pay. Making art is not for the weak of heart.

All of this to say, thank you for making it this far! And please continue to keep up with Sky Limit as I continue to forge page after page just for you every Wednesday and Saturday.

Hey. Life is short. Go skate. Create. Enjoy your time.
